A tastefully decorated cake can attract more attention than a plain one. So if you want your cakes to look delicious, you may have to read a lot of cake decorating tips to perfect your skill.

It takes time to study complex cake decoration. So, for simple, everyday cakes, I'll show you four tips for making delicious looking cakes.

To become a cake decorator and make complex cake decorations can take a lot of time. But, for everyday, basic, but great looking cakes, I've listed four tips that will accomplish this for you.

Cooling your cake is number one. If your cake is warm, your icing will melt, and this is not good. When the cake comes out of the oven, the first step is to cool it on a wire rack for about 15-30 minutes. You must take the cake out of the pan immediately because if you don't it might stick to the pan itself and ruin your cake.

Frosting and icing take time as well. If you run out of time, you can just buy frosting and icing. There are lots of ready to use frosting on the market. Just simply purchase what you need for your delicious cake.

Choosing the right piping bag is also important. If you are just starting to be a cake decorator, choose a rigid bag so you can control it easily. To apply the right amount of icing or frosting on your cake, you need to control the pressure of your grip. For background and full icing cover, bigger piping tips are necessary. For Fine details and for complex designs, small piping tips or fine holes work best.

Candy bits and shaved chocolate make great finishing touches. Your cake will look, and hopefully taste delicious! I mean, what cake doesn't taste good with chocolate or sugared candy bits.

For everyday cakes, these tips are best. Keep looking though, because there are certainly many more tips and styles that you can use in making every day cakes look delicious!
