The Biggest Waffle Ever Made?

Hm...all this waffle talk made me question myself - what was the biggest waffle ever made? I tried Google but nothing usable came up...does anybody know? :) I guess it would be hard to make a really big waffle since it is much harder to make that a giant pancake for instance. You need a huge waffle iron. For a pancake you would only need a big hot flat surface...

Well... then at least I've foud this: "The world's biggest pancake was cooked in Rochdale England in 1994, it was 15 meters in diameter and weighed three tonnes."

Waffles are loved by everyone (AND ME!!).Many people love to make the waffles at home (I DO!!), and then it is a must to have a waffle maker at kitchen. Waffle maker which was earlier known as waffle iron is known to people since the man learnt preparing waffles. Some historians predict the origin of waffles to the ancient times which in general say that waffle makers also date back to the same epoch. As the innovations and tastes of man differed with waffles, waffle makers also have got different shapes and went from being made out of traditional iron to different non stick surfaces. The traditional waffle makers were manufactured of casted iron plates and were heated on gas or the wooden stove. Both sides of the waffle had to be heated one after other. Modern waffle makers are highly technical with auto timer and programmed that run on electricity and beep after the waffle is ready.

Belgian waffle maker differs from the other waffle makers; it is bigger in size and contain a deep grill which gives out a larger waffle with deeep pockets that are just made for different topping. Usualy only one big waffle can be cooked at a time.

And then there are non-belgian waffle makers. How does waffle maker work?

The batter is just poured into the waffle maker and waffles are baked till perfection which takes not more than two to three minutes. That's it, it's very simple :)!
